The series has three kinds of performances: plot/story musicals (that follow the Prince of Tennis story), live concerts (outtakes with alternative performances of the songs and self-parody skits), and special performances (this including second-season exclusive Farewell Parties and non-musical shows). Graduation shows (so called due to the story's setting in middle school) are the last musical performances played by a Seigaku cast or actor before they are replaced by the next generation's cast.
The second season of TeniMyu covers the same arcs as season one. However the casting, scripts, and music are slightly altered along with other minor visual and miscellaneous elements. Musicals from the first season were joined together, with the production emphasizing more events and shows being performed by fewer Seigaku casts relative to the prior season.
